Dear Senator Blutowski,
I recently read in our local newspaper, the Tallahasse Tribune, that you introduced a House Bill (1079) that would give 540 million dollars in tax incentives to nine professional sports franchises. I am writing to express my disappointment at how little regard you have for my taxes. I understand that the motivation is to keep the franchises in the state and to make money but I don't support your bill. If professional sports are not profitable enough to stand on their own economic merit, we don't need them! I, like millions of Floridians, am not a sports fan and have never been inside a sports stadium and don't intend to ever. Subsidizing sports is a waste of my tax dollars. I am going to write the governor to express my displeasure with this bill.
Thank you for allowing me to share my opinion,
