Help! # 2
Help! # 2
I am currently in HS, and I am an aspiring botanist. I have a garden at home where I grow herbs, plants, and mushrooms. Just about a week ago, my older jock brother on college leave was participating with my dad and grandpa in a game (also sports freaks). I was out there tending to my plants and my brother came over and TRAMPLED my plants while catching a football pass. My older generation relatives did NOTHING about this and now I have trampled bromileads. What should I do? I'm not old enough to have a job, (skipped a grade) and my parents are two sports-mongoloids who do nothing!

Sports or no, it sounds like your family is playing "favorites" with their children. If you destroyed something of your brother's, wouldn't they punish you? You should try to have a sit-down conversation with them...as adult-like as possible...and explain the inequities that you see in this situation.
If they are even half-way decent parents, they'd see where you're coming from on this. Sure it was an accident...but again, even if you accidentally destroyed something of your brother's you'd still be expected to pay for or replace it, right?

And if that doesn't work, let the air out of their football and/or any other ball they have around that they idolize so much.

You might be a sports fan/jerk if...
You've ever started a sentence with "Buddy of mine..." or "I got a buddy..."

Re: Help! # 2
an evil solution would work... but I think you'll get more positive results with the whole 'talking to your parents' thing... They should understand that something you love was destroyed and something should be done about it, even if its just an apologie, or maybe he has to pay you back either way has some satisfaction that something was done.
Sports contribute nothing to society. They are a waste of time, money, effort and TV channels! It's just a bunch of buffed up, fat headed, idiotic jocks chasing a ball around.
If cheerleading were any easier... It would be called football!

They won't, I tried that 5 times but my brother barges in and starts talking about football, and they JOIN IN.
