No one has proven sports take mental skill whatsoever.

in football..quarterbacks have to be able to identiy what types of coverage the defense is in and make reads pre snap and during the play. They almost have to remember a 500 plus play playbook. The whole team has to remember the playbook. You're always thinking in football.

Baseball involves a lot of thinking. The pitcher has to know what types of pitches to throw in certain situations, and the batter has to try to guess and anticipate what pitch is coming

A huge part of sports is the mental aspect. Another stupid fucking post.

*yawn* you think that takes mental strength? No way. Many things take more skill than sports.

Please, can't we just agree on the fact that both sports and video games require some form of skill and just wrap it up there? I have to agree with Polite24 on the fact that there are some skills needed to play sports, otherwise everybody could play at a professional level. But Sergey has a point too - video games can be just as good at building skills and there are some players out there who do have real talents! Of course, these can draw sarcastic comments and bullying off the sporters...

Yes if it's agreed that video games take more skill than sports.
