Radio Ga Ga - Queen
Thankfully at this time, Lady Gaga hadn't even been born. Oh, the good old days!

Escape From New York Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTxBc_-XxmI&NR=1
I remember when I first saw the movie back in 1984 and how it depicted New York city in the future in 1997 (which is now the past) and how the city became a one great big walled in prison. Fortunately this grim prophecy never came to pass, so now, I sort of laugh when I see the movie.
Put I do like the theme music which I think is really cool!!!
Now we have . . .
Escape from L.A. theme music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqn7J5rg6C4&NR=1
It's the same song as above, but slightly different.
I haven't see the movie yet, but I would like to see it.
I wonder what kind of grim predictions it will have for me to laugh at when the movie become more then 15 years old.
What is scary is that . . . . . what was depicted in the movie Escape From New York could very well happen in the future, but fortunately it hasn't happened yet. It might be another century or so before something like it does happen, but there will not be a World Trade Center, as was depicted in the movie made back in the 1980s.
If in the future, one of our major cities, either New York or LA does become a walled in super prison, then we can send all the jocks there.
The former Soviet Union had the right idea, but a lot of people didn't deserve it. Real criminals might have deserved it, like, for example: child molesters, but many good people were sent there for political reasons. But, I love what they did to one scum bag who was a serial killer of children. They told him they were going to hang him, but as they led him out to be executed, they just put a gun to the back of his head and blew his shit-for-brains out. Sometimes ya just gotta love those Commies!!!
Anyway . . . they had Siberia and we have Alaska!
We can just send the jocks and other lowlifes to Alaska, north of the Arctic Circle! That's our Siberia!

Here is one of my favorite sentimental love songs and here's a You Tube link to the song.
The Rose
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGO_tsiY ... re=related
I have also included screen shots from the music video and I placed the lyrics below each image.
THE ROSE
By Bianca Ryan
Some say love, it is a river the drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower, and you its only seed.
It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken, who can not seem to give,
and the soul, afraid of dyin' that never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long,
and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun's love
in the spring becomes the rose.
I love this song, and I cry every time I hear it.
I guess I'm just a passionate and emotionally fragile little fatty.

I was in Southampton today and I saw a Lady GaGa advert and someone had drew all over her face with blue felt, seeing that added a smile to my face.

His World - Crush 40
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le7isAqrfog
Lyrics
--Verse 1--
Beware the time as it moves along
Takin' you back always feared and strong
Like the rush of the wind
He moves on and on and on and on and on...
He's the fire, flame, conflicting pain
Untouched, crushed, and will remain
The one, the two, the three, the four
Headed straight for an open door
He can see, and he can feel
Without one touch, it seems unreal
But it's true, the power lives
Inside of you
(Inside of you... Yeah)
--Chorus--
In this world (His world)
Where life is strong (Life is strong)
In this world (His world)
Life's an open book (Open book)
In this world (His world)
Compromise does not exist
In this world of worlds
Every step meets the risk
In this world (His world)
One is all (One is all)
In this world (His world)
Never fear the fall (Fear the fall)
In this world (His world)
Compromise does not exist
In this world of worlds
Every step meets the risk
--Verse 2--
Beware of your mind, as it proves you wrong
A forward push as the clock strikes strong
Like the rush of the wind
He moves on and on and on and on and on...
He's the tower, power, admits no shame
Untouched, crushed, will remain
The one, the two, the three, the four
Headed straight for an open door
He can see, what he can't feel
Without one touch, it becomes surreal
But it's true, the power lives
Inside of you
(Inside of you... Yeah)
--Repeat Chorus--
Beware of your mind, as it proves you wrong
A forward push as the clock strikes strong
In this world; his world
--Repeat Chorus--
Yeah (yeah)
Beware of your mind, as it proves you wrong
A forward push as the clock strikes strong
In this world; his world
Awesome rock song!

I like mostly rock and classical music.
But there are some country western songs that I do like.
I just don't care for that trailer-trash red-neck boo hoo cry in your beer music that inspires some guys to get drunk and beat their wives when they come home.
But there are some good country songs.
One of my favorites is Seven Spanish Angles.
Here is a You Tube link to a really good version.
George Canyon - Seven Spanish Angels
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS_BNF0dNmo
And here are the Lyrics.
Seven Spanish Angels
He looked down into her brown eyes,
And said, Say a prayer for me.
She threw her arms around him,
Whispered, God will keep us free.
They could hear the riders comin,
He said, This is my last fight.
If they take me back to Texas,
They won't take me back alive.
**Chorus**
There were seven Spanish Angels,
At the alter of the Sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers,
In the valley of the gun.
When the battle stopped,
And the smoke cleared.
There was thunder from the throne.
And seven Spanish angels,
Took another angel home.
She reached down and picked the gun up,
That lay smokin' in his hand.
She said, Father please forgive me,
I can't make it without my man.
And she knew the gun was empty,
And she knew she couldn't win.
Her final prayer was answered,
When the rifles fired again.
**Chorus**
There were seven Spanish Angels,
At the alter of the Sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers,
In the valley of the gun.
When the battle stopped,
And the smoke cleared.
There was thunder from the throne.
And seven Spanish angels,
Took another angel home.
**Repeat Chorus**
There were seven Spanish Angels,
At the alter of the Sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers,
In the valley of the gun.
When the battle stopped,
And the smoke cleared.
There was thunder from the throne.
And seven Spanish angels,
Took another angel home.
**Repeat Chorus Again**
There were seven Spanish Angels,
At the alter of the Sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers,
In the valley of the gun.
When the battle stopped,
And the smoke cleared.
There was thunder from the throne.
And seven Spanish angels,
Took another angel home.
I'm going home.
I'm home.
I love this one. I use to sing it at the Karaokes when I was able to get out at night.
One of these days, I'm going to get Karaoke discs for my computer.
I already have really good stereo speakers and I just need to get a better mic for my computer.
