Madden 07....what the hell is this.

My friend and I are HUGE gamers. When we read that Madden 07 sold about 3 million copes..we were pretty pissed off. We wondered how can the same shit sell over and over again and then a well thought out game such as dead rising or Metal Gera solid didnt sell that much that fast.

Is this just me or is this complete Bull shit.

A typo is all it was. Only 30 copies got sold.

And 25 copies of those were accidently bought by German gamers who thought Madden was english for Madchen (Girl) or a synonym for making crazy. That's the only way to account for this mass hysteria.

You know, I've always wondered what's so different with each release...? The only noticeable difference would be the graphics, the box art and the year number going up by one. The gameplay would remain the same throughout; control a bunch of digital meatheads trying to beat another bunch of digital meatheads.

You know, a couple of days ago, I was rooting through some old magazines and came across one that was reviewing Dungeon Keeper 2. At the end of the review, the reviewer said that DK2 "wont sell as well as FIFA" (some over-hyped, over-released footbore 'game').

Exactly! It won't sell as well -- it'll sell better!

Hell, I'm playing through DK2 right now and I'm enjoying it way more than I could ever enjoy some sports game.

That's a good point. What could change in a new release? To be honest, I didn't know there WERE different releases. Why would they re-release a football simulator? What could possibly change? Maybe they have different graphics for new stadiums (how exciting).

That and the teams are basicly all they change.

If you fags haven't figured out shit yet Madden 07 sells because the world loves sports. This is a sports sosiety, just accept it. Besides, the rosters change from year to year so if they only made one like every 3 years the newest rookies wouldn't be on there for a few years such as Reggie Bush or Devin Hester.(if you dumb-shits even know who those guys are) Madden is one of the greatest game series ever and one of the best-selling. ohhhhhhhhhhh..the mAdden game keeps coming out because their "roster" changes every year as they hire and fire people. That's an interesting and plausible explanation. Or excuse. Because I don't see how it will make any difference in the game: each player must hit and catch --what is Madden? Baseball or football? Anyway, I don't think having new people on the team is really an adequate excuse for coming out with a new game. It's just market hype.
