Richard Dawkins addresses huge crowd at end of Protest the Pope Rally in London on 18 Sept 2010, to coincide with Pontiff's visit. Other speakers included Terry Sanderson, Geoffrey Robertson, Barbara Blaine, Pragna Patel, Peter Tatchell and the hugely impressive Maryam Namazie (unfortunately I only had space for Mr Dawkins). Over 10,000 people turned up to display their contempt for the Pope and his church's intolerant and bigoted views. Our state leaders shamefully kissed his arse - we didn't.

OK, the next video is a real piece of shit!

The video was taken from a German movie titled "Downfall" about the last days of Hitler in the bunker. The movie is in German, but English sub text has been dubbed in.

But, however . . . . . it is NOT a true English translation of the original German, but simply English words depicting Richard Dawkins as Adolf Hitler, and the fellow atheists who had also called for the arrest of the Pope, are being depicted as Nazis.

This is a really sick video, put up by (yeah, I'm gonna say it) a Christard Funny-mentalist, and a Pope loving pedo-symp!

WOW! This video is a low blow! So, the idiot who uploaded this video depicts Richard Dawkins as Hitler, and those calling for the arrest of the pope as NAZIS! Eh? Yeah! Really cute! OK, I guess I must be a NAZI because I would also like to see the Pope get arrested! I would like to see the entire Catholic clergy put on trial for all the years that children have been molested by pedophile priests! Hey! When I was 17 years old, I was beaten an raped by an older man! You're really sick! Ya moron!

I wouldn't take that Downfall video too seriously. That scene of the movie has become an internet meme where English subtitles are added for many different circumstances for humorous purposes. I remember there was one where Hitler gets banned from Xbox Live, and another that parodied Stephen Harper (Prime Minister of Canada). If you search for them on Youtube, you'll find many videos and see that they are mostly for humorous purposes.

I remember the Pope's visit, it was quite funny that barely anyone was bothered about it. The only time it really came up in conversation was when the Pope was leaving and we had BBC News on.

Like that Tebow thread with people imitating his religious pose, it's just parody.

To be honest, here in Britain either side would unlikely to gain any traction, people just didn't care.

Did I mention I loathe Johann Hari? Hari embodies many things I dislike-he's a Guardianista (I also hate other newspapers) and a charlatan. Why anyone thinks highly of him is a mystery.
