This man is always incredibly interesting to listen to.
He does not drone on about sports, and this is why he posts the seeming antisocial posts that he does.
he feels for the most part that he is surrounded by idiots and that includes members of this forum who seemed to having nothing to do all day than post shots. At least wibberley only ever used the 'pop music sucks' thread. In view of what i have said, mr EARL i reccomend that you should re instate wibberley.

I don't think that wibberley's banning was unjust. He posted extremist statements not only against people involved with sports (which is of course the subject of this forum, but nevertheless nobody needs to be killed, especially children who may enjoy watching sports, and genocide is despicable), but also against unrelated groups of people which may include contributing, supportive members of this site. He was asking for a banning.

Wibberley is one of the most accomplished persons i know. His knowledge of vintage jazz and dance band music is phenomenal.

Hello there wibberley2c. You say that you are one of wibberley's friends. Are you a colleague from work or have a connection to him in another way? Wibberley has been saying on here how he tends to alienate everyone he knows, and earlier on in this thread he said that he had never had a relation in the world or a friend either. At least, something like that. I'm not sure what is so important about his membership to this website that would make someone else want to run along and plead for his reinstation. Does our friend wibberley not have his vintage music and piano playing to enjoy? Is this forum extremely important to him? It's not that I don't want him to come back, but some of his posts to this site have been very... cryptic, to put it lightly. I respect him for his unique interests and willingness to stand out from the crowd. We live in a world of fucking sheep, and people like wibberley who admire the fine arts and old ways are... definitely in short supply nowadays. He does sound like he has very strong and original interests in life, and could have been a valued member to this website if he had told us more about why he hates sports so much, what exactly has caused his extreme disdain for sports, and perhaps even got involved with some of the other issues on this board. Yes, this board can be good for letting off steam at times, but a line has got to be drawn somewhere. If you're just going to wish death upon all sorts of groups of people, including groups whom some of the forum members might be part off (I like rock music and stuff from after 1950. Should I be nuked to hell for that?), then you're just asking for trouble. I was beginning to lose my patience with wibberley when he started saying about how he hated us as well, just because we are not as extreme in our views as him. That was uncalled for. We have been sympathetic to him, offered him several chances for dialogue, and now he's telling us he hates us all of a sudden? That did antagonise me.

To conclude, I'm all for wibberley returning - IF he can tone down on the extreme statements unless he can justify them, and try not to be so cryptic in his posts. If he can't promise to do those two things, then unfortunately his return shall not have my support. I'm sympathetic to people who are lonely in life - I haven't been there, I AM there right now. It's not enjoyable and it has done and continues to get me very depressed at times. But wishing death upon nearly everybody in the world is completely unacceptable as a way of expressing your frustration and it really has no use on a debating forum like this. We discuss things - we do not rail at them unnecessarily. At least I don't. I admire wibberley for his interests in life, but I can't say the same for some of his posts on here.

Yes, there are people out there that I hate, and I would not cry boo hoo over their deaths.

But when I hate someone, it's for a damn good reason.

For example:

I hate bullies, I hate rapists, and I hate pedophiles. I hate anybody who harms children. I also despise certain institutions. I'm pissed off at the Republican party and I have no love for the Catholic Church. I believe that rapists and pedophiles should get the death penalty if found guilty in a court of law. So, yeah! There are some people out there that I hate and that I believe deserve to die.

But I have sound reasons for hating these things.

I notice that you have never posted anywhere else except on this topic about pop music.

You have never checked out any of my topics in the OFF TOPIC section where I had posted stuff on science, religion, history and politics.

Now, I don't like pop music either, but I don't hate people who like pop music nor do I think that anybody who likes pop music should die. I just don't like it, that's all. I think rap is crap, but I'm not going to go around wanting to kill people who like rap.

I don't bully people around just simply because they don't like the same music I like, or the same kind of TV programming that I like. When I was in high school I was in a Chess Club called The Black Nights, and of course, the jocks in my school and the sports fans thought that was gay.

Sports fans and jocks have been known to beat up on anybody who doesn't like football, but those of us in the Black Knight's Chess Club, we didn't go around beating up on people who didn't like Chess.

In school, I was more interested in science and art, but I didn't like sports.

I didn't go around beating up on people who didn't like Astronomy, or working on oil paintings, but I was bullied around by the jocks and sports fans just simply because I didn't like football.

When I was in high school, I weighed about 250 pounds, and I could have very easily been a bully if I had wanted to because of my size and weight, but I wasn't. I was way too gentle for my own good and let other people bully me around instead.

Just what is it about sports, that inspires brutality towards people who don't like sports?

Yet, those who like science and art, we don't go around beating up on people who don't like the same things! Now why is that?

So, I have a damn good reason to hate sports fans and jocks, because they are bullies.

But you, wibberley, you said you hate everybody, and you seem to be proud of the fact that you don't have any friends at work, and that you have deliberately driven people away from you.

Although I had very few friends in high school, because I was the typical nerd or geek who didn't like sports and preferred science and art, I did have some friends who shared the same interests that I had.

So, I wasn't completely alone. It's just that we were outnumbered by the sports morons.

However, I have my reasons for thinking otherwise. Like you said, Fat Man, wibberley did seem proud of the fact he alienated everyone he knew, so this would queer the pitch against a friend of him coming onto a website he'd been banned from to support him. And this line got my suspicious senses tingling:

That's pretty good. Began at 38, did he? Do you know whether he had lessons, or was he self-taught? I have no idea what Grade 7 Standard is, but I've always wanted to learn piano. If I made Grade 4 could I entertain at parties?
