OK, here are two YouTube music videos dedicated to the missing, the lost, or those without hope.

The first one is the unofficial version of Runaway Train, a black & white video dedicated to the Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust in Germany as they are being taken to the concentration camps.

A Music video using footage from John Frankenheimer's The Train set to Runaway Train by Soul Asylum, I really liked the quality that black and white footage gives.

The second one is the official version of Runaway Train, a color video dedicated to lost or missing children, some who had run away from home, and had been missing for years.

And here are the lyrics to the song

Runaway Train
By Soul Asylum

Call you up in the middle of the night
Like a firefly without a light
You were there like a blow torch burning
I was a key that could use a little turning

So tired that I couldn't even sleep
So many secrets I couldn't keep
Promised myself I wouldn't weep
One more promise I couldn't keep

It seems no one can help me now
I'm in too deep
There's no way out
This time I have really led myself astray

Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one-way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there

Can you help me remember how to smile
Make it somehow all seem worthwhile
How on earth did I get so jaded
Life's mystery seems so faded

I can go where no one else can go
I know what no one else knows
Here I am just drowning in the rain
With a ticket for a runaway train

And everything seems cut and dry
Day and night, earth and sky
Somehow I just don't believe it

Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one-way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there

Bought a ticket for a runaway train
Like the madman laughing at the rain
A little out of touch, a little insane
It's just easier than dealing with the pain

Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one-way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there

Runaway train never coming back
Runaway train tearing up the track
Runaway train burning in my veins
I run away but it always seems the same

And finally, one more YouTube music video with a very sad song dedicated to the Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust.

A slightly updated version of my tribute to the victims of the Holocaust, now with even better timing of the images to the song's beat.

This video blends the horror of the Holocaust with the voice of the wonderful Ofra Haza, accompanied with Ofra's own tribute to the Holocaust's victims, the song "Trains Of No Return", from the album "Kirya".

May the horror and tragedy never happen again, and may all who are suffering in our day and age under prejudice and mindless hate be freed.

My thanks to those who let me use their lightning, sunset, and sunrise footage, and also to Bezalel Aloni.

WARNING: ANY AND ALL ANTI-RELIGIOUS COMMENTS AND DEBATES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE COMMENT SECTION.

And here are the lyrics to the song. It's got some Hebrew word mixed in with English words.

Trains Of No Return
By Ofra Haza

Yeah, yeah yeah, we need the rain
Yeah, yeah yeah, to wash the trains
Endless nights
Tortured days
Trains of no return

Law-El ani agraw aneni To God I call, please answer me
Avka bachawl lailaw aneni I cry every night, answer me
Ten tal umawtawr aneni Give us dew and rain, answer me
Oh aneni Oh, answer me
Oh, don't let them grow again
Oh, no not again
Don't let them roll again
The trains of no return

Yeah, yeah yeah, we need the rain
Yeah, yeah yeah, to wash the trains
Endless nights
Tortured days
Trains of no return

Law-El ani agraw aneni To God I call, answer me
Aneni, aneni Answer me, answer me
Sham za'aku kolot anenu There voices cried out, answer us
Ba'aru orot anenu Lights burned, answer us
Netzach Yisrael anenu Eternal One of Israel, answer us
Hu lo y'shaker He will not fail us
Kawl ha'or kawl hachoshech All the light, all the darkness
Sheyoter mikawl ra'u eich Which more than anything, saw how
Din ha'Elohim molech The law of God rules
Hem gam mevakshim They also plead

Yeah, yeah yeah, we need the rain
Yeah, yeah yeah, to wash the trains
Endless nights
Tortured days
Trains of no return

Don't let them grow again
Don't let them burn again
Don't let them roll again
The trains of no return
We need the rain
Don't let them grow again
Don't let them burn again
Don't let them roll again

I remember hearing this song about 7 years ago only once, and I had been searching for a long time to find it again, then tonight I did a search on YouTube and I manage to find it again.

This song has been haunting me all that time.

It has a beautiful melody, but it is very sad.

You will never forget it.

This song will haunt you for a long time to come.

Just heard "Runaway Train" on the radio in the car yesterday, and commented to my wife how I hadn't heard it in quite awhile (it was a very big hit in about the early 1990's, I believe). Excellent song, and thanks for posting the lyrics, Fat Man! I hadn't thought about it as being dedicated to missing people and their families, but that makes a lot of sense when I think of the lyrics.
