Look at this site. It appears to be sponsored by ESPN and parrots our site.

I think ESPN was worried that sport was threatened so they built this look-alike site as a non-sensical decoy to dilute the message. The site's main focus seems to be for sport-hating viewers to sign up their sports fan friends for e-mail abuse. I bet that, if you do, the worst your sports fan friend will receive is an unsolicited advertisement from ESPN.

But all in all, it's a funny site. :)

I think it's a real site -- he's just getting sports ads, like we were before we got around it.

I thought it was a real site too until I looked at the underlying html. Those banner ads for ESPN are fixed and come from the site's own directory --not from a Google script. There IS a script immediately after the two banner ads but it's Google's urchinTracker for analyzing site traffic/visitors.

I tried to paste in the section of html I'm talking about but I can't get it to paste in for anything!

Aha! So it's a ruse!

Come to think of it, it is kind of fishy how there are more sports lovers than haters/non-fans visiting an anti-sport site.

Best to keep our wits about us in case they try sending spies over... 8)

"Ralph", the site builder, claims he built it for ESPN as an ad campaign:
