Hello, my name's Hunter. I found this website while browsing another forum, and I thought it looked kind of interesting. I'm not a big fan of sports either, although I do run occasionally and play pick-up games of basketball at a local gym to keep my fitness level up (: I'm 17 now, but I'll be 18 very soon. I enjoy all kinds of music, I'm going to a concert very soon and am very excited. I receive average grades in school, I want to go to college for secondary education and become an English teacher. Right now I'm in cosmetology school. I'm pretty easy to get along with. I'll post a picture soon. How are you guys?

Welcome, Safety! Thanks for your contributions to the forum.

Just because a guy is not interested in sports doesn't mean he's sedentary. I'm a confirmed gym rat. For over two years I've been working with a personal trainer at a local health club on a bodybuilding program. Even though my trainer wears me out every time I have a workout, I enjoy it immensely -- as opposed to the "sports only" mandatory P.E. that I was forced to take when I was a kid, which was a total joke as well as an exercise (no pun intended) in hypocrisy. I wish that I had started bodybuilding when I was a teenager, but better later than never.

You might want to reconsider using a photo of yourself as an avatar or otherwise attaching it in a post. After all, there are always cyber-bullies looking for a chance to cause someone mischief. Just a safety precaution.

Anyway, thanks for becoming a member of the forum. Feel free to speak your mind. :)

Thanks, but I don't have problems with bullies. I couldn't find a picture with a small enough file size, and I didn't feel like taking one, so bleh.

I think that we really should find ways in which to expand this glorious community.

(Personally, I would go for going to other forums and advertising our prescence, but I do not really have the time... shame)

Earl wasn't referring to the typical school variant of bullies. I believe he was referring to the people on the Internet (the 4chan trolls are easily the number one example I've seen on the Internet) who will use every single piece of information they can find about you against you and harass you as much as they can online. For example, if you posted a picture of yourself, they may post that picture everywhere on the Internet after a lot of photo editing to defame you as much as possible. It's just a heads up, just because there is a possibility it could happen, and in an extremely unlikely event that is so unlikely you probably wouldn't need to worry about it, they could perhaps even find your identity with that picture to give them more to harass than just a picture.

Thanks, HugeFan.

That's exactly what I meant, Safety. But I guess what you really need to watch out for is not giving your address or information about personal problems on the Internet (which, after all, is open to the public).

Welcome Imperialist and Safety. You seem like two good new regular members. I look forward to having more talks with you, that is if you choose to stick around. I haven't had a lot to say on here recently, but I have been having what I like to call the "summer blues" which is basically the time when I'm at home when I'm not working and usually finding myself with not much to do over what people consider to be the best time of the year. As a result I get bored, depressed and have to find ways to combat these rather bleak emotions. Sometimes I stick on some great old music from the 1980's and earlier, either on my record player or even my CD player (yes, I do actually have one of those as well - am I selling out the old ways?), or just my headphones if it's late at night and I don't want the other people in my flat to get their night's rest spoiled. Or I just watch films or TV or even just lie around in bed. I will be on here more now, though, seeing as how this forum is seeing quite a lot of activity for this time of year. I'd say Christmas and summer are the two quietest times on here when people are either with families and friends celebrating the festive season or on holiday. But I'm not going anywhere nice this year, so expect general all-year-round activity from me. Anyways, you two have fun round here, and I'll have more to say later.

Best regards,

I hope I can add a bit of spi...no. 'Explosion' to this forum. Hahahahaha.... yes. (It seems awefully quiet for a forum this size though...)

Well, you're sure helping keep this board alive. You're doing a hell of a lot of posts... you may well overtake me eventually! I am aiming to become the fourth user on here to surpass the 1,000 post mark now that the guy who is one place ahead of me in terms of posts seems to have stopped coming here. I haven't been doing much recently due to another low period in my life and of course, still having to go to work over summer (yes, the fun never ends for me...) but now I've come back with a bang and I aim to keep the posts coming. I may also be doing some work on YouTube with an anti-sports video in the making (well, I'm thinking of ideas for it).

As for your comments about this being quiet for a forum this size... it's always been quiet. It only becomes action-packed when people are trolling or spamming it or when we genuinely have some good new members who are eager to post. Thank God the third one has now become reality.

Best regards,

I bow in the mercury based spot light.

But how often do these /sp/ raids take place?

I hate to tell you this, but I'm afraid that the /sp/artans have lost interest in us. But please be patient. We're bound to get another abusive poster or spamming pest sooner or later.

Or maybe I can fan flames on /sp/ and see what happens (ofcourse, with general agreement).

Well, if I suddenly find myself unable to get on the forum, I'll know what's going on. :D

No, no and NO!

Even if everyone else said "yes" (which I sincerely doubt will happen), I'd still disallow it. Not saying you will, but if you do, it'll result in an immediate ban. I've had enough of them; don't bother. Let sleeping dogs lie.
