So something that happened in a stadium is more important then history? Or astronomy. OH GOD! I am surprised how stupid jocks really are, wait isn't their idiocy literally infinite?

Let's add to the poverty and lack of education in our country by making school as boring as possible because one out of every twenty kids that hates sports and school related activities.
Not everyone likes school, or being in a classroom. These same people still often make very successful people in life. Taking sports and the fun things out of high schools, and kids will die of boredom. IMO they have some improvement to do anyway on making school more fun, and less boring and tedious.
You guys do bring up good points about some things, but this isn't one of them. You're way off base.

For me, school was boring, tedious, and dangerous because of sports!
In high school, they took science and math away from me, and forced me to watch stupid cartoons!
In grade school, they bashed my head against a brick wall, suspended me because I failed to climb a rope, and punched me in the stomach with a basketball.
Yeah! You are so right! Without sports, school would have been boring!
There is nothing more fun and exciting than getting my head bashed against a brick wall, and getting punched in the stomach, and being humiliated in front of the other students in the gym!
So now, when ever I feel bored, I watch cartoons on TV while whacking myself in the balls with my cane . . . . .
BECAUSE IT'S FUN!!!

No player, if they save it up all their money will never be as rich as Bill Gates or close to him. So wait? You want to take out the purpose of an education? Fun? I see no fun, Band and Art are fun. Sports are only fun for brain dead jocks! So me wanting less violent schools is a bad thing? Last time I checked the majority of criminals were sports players. We're not off.
