Yes Rotten,I did.And it was hilarious, that if it was supposed to be sent as ajoke, which I'm sure it must have been.If ,on the other hand,it was sent to make fun of me because I listen to music from the 20's (Which I'm sure it wasn't) then, well,I'm sorry you think me such a jerk. You know, people react differently when I play them my music.About a couple of years ago I played "Ain't Misbehavin'" by Cootie Williams and his Orchestra from around 1939 on my "His Master's Voice" C101 portable gramophone to a colleague and they were quite impressed.I once had a friend who would listen to whole cassette tapes of 30's dance band music I gave him.In fact for the most part the only people ,apart from myself, who listen to that kind of stuff are those who can remember it first time around and they are rapidly dissappearing.I like opera now,no one I know likes opera and so that kills conversation.I think what I listen to is good even if nobody else likes it.

Aren't you forgetting ANOTHER big fan of old music round here?

By the way wibberley, I couldn't find Number Ten, that song from the 1920s you recommended me.
So, could you find another 1920's song for me and perhaps put up the link for this one so I can get to it easier? I'd love to check it out. Sadly it's not so easy to get to now we're in a sheepish, commercialised world which forgets what music really is about...
Best regards,

Nah, i put it up because i thought it was funny. No disrespect meant toward you. Nothing wrong with liking music from the 20's. Somewhere i got a really old copy of "ballin' the jack" that i just adore. Though i don't listen to 20's regularly, if i heard some on the radio, i certainly wouldn't turn it off. I'm pretty musically diverse though. About the only thing i don't really care for is contemporary country, death metal, modern punk, and well, opera (sorry) Not that there is anything wrong with any of that, they just aren't for me.

OH ohh OHH! wibberley, have you seen the movie "Johnny Dangerously" ? You must, it's an 80's comedy about gangsters set in the 20's. Lot's of ragtime and music that you would probably enjoy.

They actually used some really cool expressions back in the 1920's.
When something was cool or neat, is was "the cat's pajamas" and dancing was referred to as "cutting a rug", I'll see if I can remembers some more.

A bit for us both there, eh wibberley? I am liking the sound of that.
Sergey wrote:I want to destroy Rap and Screamo.
Damn right about that. But I'd destroy screamo first. Rap is pretty awful but at least it has some musical quality about it. Screamo... absolutely no music, just somebody having a bitch fit down a microphone. Not exactly bliss to the ears.

No problem. I'll find time for it shortly.
wibberley wrote:It is what we say very "hot".
Was that too a 20's expression? I still hear it used in that context now, but "hot" is mostly used nowadays to refer to a very good-looking woman.

Hey Faggots,
My name is
i_like_1981, and I hate all of you charts followers. You are all mindless, stupid sheep who spend every moment of their day singing to Jay-Z with their girlfriends. You are all that is crap in the world of music. Honestly, have any of you ever purchased a record more than two weeks old? I guess it's fun insulting the old classics because of your own insecurities, but you sheep take to a whole new level. This is even worse than adding Lady Gaga as a friend on Facebook.
Don't be afraid to speak up against my old music. Go at it. Old music is pretty much perfect. I have got a collection of hundreds of records dating from between 1950 to 1989 and possess an original record player that has been in use by my family since 1983. What old music do you know, apart from Thriller which everybody fucking knows? I also get straight reductions at the local record store, and have a great girlfriend with a vast knowledge of classic rock and pop (She just bought me an original print copy of Queen's "A Night at the Opera" album which had all the band's signatures on it, it was £1,000 IN cash) You are all sheep who should go and kill themselves for liking crap like Rihanna. Thanks for listening.

There's great modern music if you like older stuff. I love acid jazz - highly recommending Jamiroquai's Emergency on Planet Earth album, especially "Blow Your Mind."
And nice pic, 1981. Here's me from a cell pic:
