You're ongoing battle trying to prove video games are better than sports is quite funny.

So 97% of 12-18 year olds sure like video games. Oh and games selling into the tens of millions. I love how he just said video games make less money than sports. Do the fucking math! $50 for the first few months and hundreds of thousands buy it (maybe even millions). Now put that with ever hyped game, and you sir are wrong!

Fat Man, I don't wanna hear it from you. I'm not even going to attempt to make valid points against you because you either won't come back into this thread or you'll quote me and point out something petty, totally ignoring the point of my post.

Video games are a really general thing. You have thousands of types of games that cater to many different types of interests. Not the biggest genre, but one of the biggest is sports. The Madden football series is one of the most well known games in mainstream media.

While there are different sports, they don't cater to all kinds of different interests like different types of video games do. Also, sports are an actual real activity that you yourself are doing, while video games are animated. Playing sports is more healthy for you. As far as the money thing, I really don't know. Microsoft, who makes the Xbox 360, and Sony, who makes the Playstation 3, are two of the richest companies in the world. However, the NFL, MLB, NBA, and to a lesser extent the NHL have money flowing.

One of the biggest? What did you say? A few companies like 2K and EA make it, but did you fluxing say one of the biggest? Sorry it's one of the lowest. Let's see, FPS games, Third Person, RTS's and etc. down right dominate it with no effort. A few companies to over 50% of gaming genres?!

Sports games are one of the biggest genres of games.

Why the fuck does this even matter dude? Sports and video games both make a shitload of money. Video games don't take more skill than sports, and your ongoing mission to prove they're better is funny.

1. No they AREN'T. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:S ... ideo_games

2. Rofl, the first guy who says sports take more skill than a good game of L4D, Warhammer 40,000, and even Starcraft (you can't have forgotten?). Besides you haven't seen my new thread?

Yeah, like football players are real healthy when they retire in their 40s because they're all crippled up from too many flying tackles.

Boxers are a prime example of healthy sports, like getting repeated blows to the head, and becoming punch-drunk, speaking incoherently, and drooling like a brain-dead moron.

Yeah! Sports is good for you!!!

Why did the rooster cross the Gym?

He heard that the referee was blowing fouls.

I'm not a huge fan of boxing, and I do recognize the toll it can take on your brain.

As far as football goes, people do get messed up after football from injuries to the brain, but it is a very small minority. Like boxing, those players knew what could happen from playing. The amount of exercise you get from football as well as lifting weights is a big reason why a lot of football players live to an old age.

There are no risks to playing video games, but there are also zero health benefits, besides mental ones.

The bottom line is you guys need to let go of some of your unwarranted hatred, Sergey to a much lesser extent than Fat Man. Fat Man, you once stated you wished all athletes would die. That's just sick. I know you've been through a lot from reading your story, but I think you'd be much happier if you let go of your hatred of athletes who have done nothing to you.

Polite24,
We can hate anything or anybody we want to. I choose to hate sports and the athletes that are assholes as most are regardless of what drivel you spout. It's my right to hate sports and it's also my right to thinks sports fans are idiotic drones.

Why? Feeling threatened? Is it because that, without sports you're an empty, deflated bag of nothin'?

Or is being obnoxious to everyone around you not enough for you? Now you have to control everyone too?

Cast off, Loser. You are recognized for what you are. Nuttin'.

Polite 24,
Ray brought up an interesting point. What would your life be like without sports? Think about it for a while, what other interests do you have to fall back on? It may seem like a stupid question to you but it may wake you up to the fact that you are very one dimensional with a very narrow view of life. I know you are not alone because the majority of guys I know are just like you.

Why the hell would I feel threatened? Sports are still as big as they ever were.
