Hey Fat Man, dont give up on your country just yet. Infact, never give up on it. Its still part of you and you are part of it, its history, nation and civilisation. Despite all the crap that American society has - which is the same case in all countries btw - America still continues and will always be a beacon of many good things, not only in the name of western civilisation but also in the name of humanity as a whole. I know you were just feeling cynical at the time you wrote this. Hope youre feeling better now.
