Logically speaking I'm guessing probably both, as every after game is before the next game.
Not Everyone is a Brain-dead Sports Fan!

Of course they're going to say that crap when they're in front of a TV camera. How fast do you think they would shut one of these assletes up if he made statements like "screw the soldiers overseas"? You must believe everything on TV is the truth, or is it just the crap spewing from some assletes mouth?Detroitsportsfan08 wrote:Funny, because athletes will be the first ones to tell you they're not heroes, and the first ones to thank the troops overseas.
If you watch any sporting events, they are very involved with the troops, and they're always talking about them.
After 9/11, the Jets, Giants, and Patriots all did a lot with the NYPD and the NY Fire Department.
You guys are arguing against something that no one even thinks. And when people call an athlete a hero, they mean in the context of that game, season, etc.
You are too kind.Indurrago wrote:So are you suggesting that mere "inspiration" and donating some money is better than quality health service?
I don't think so.
Yeah, Ray rocks like that. Believe it.
When they donate money, it's a pretty hefty amount.Indurrago wrote:So are you suggesting that mere "inspiration" and donating some money is better than quality health service?

Yeah, Ray rocks like that. Believe it.Detroitsportsfan08 wrote: I'm glad you can read people's minds allowing you to know exactly what the athletes motives are when they do charity work.
Damned if they do and damned if they don't I guess.
That's exactly what I was thinking about your response.Detroitsportsfan08 wrote:When they donate money, it's a pretty hefty amount.Indurrago wrote:So are you suggesting that mere "inspiration" and donating some money is better than quality health service?

And another good point responded with by something dumb.
Whooohooo!!!! According to Detroitsportsfan08 we're anti-competitive!! Let's change our site name to competitionsucks.org and quit are jobs and school to live our rest of lives as lazy couch potatoes. Yeah!!!! And then our families will starve. For those couldn't tell(especially detroitsportsfan) I was being sarcastic. On a sidenote he never mentions competition as unimportant and doesn't he even say sports aren't important in general he keeps it on topic(name of the title). How much did you read of it before you just got tired of it and left.Detroitsportsfan08 wrote:It's pretty much preaching what you guys are in bigger words. He's making competition out to be as if it's unimportant, when in reality being competitive is a huge part of being successful in life.
Hahaha thanks for the a good laugh. So pretty much you disagree with the points of the essay becomes the depth of it makes you sick and disgusted huh? Yeah, I'm pretty disgusted as well at sports fans that is.Detroitsportsfan08 wrote:I won't lie I didn't read the whole thing, but it's a lot of over-analyzing.
and it's OUR job. You guys are supposed to be smart, cmon.
If you want to pick apart other's peoples' posts, let's start with yours... shall we?Detroitsportsfan08 wrote:LOL
first of all, that's translated from German, so don't get all high and mighty because maybe you understood it. I also just skimmed through it, and didn't try to really understand it. I got the gist of the article though.
Secondly, at least I know how to use proper english.
For example, when to use your, or you're. Or when to use our, or are.
Some common mistakes I see on this board, from some people who are supposedly much smarter and sophisticated because they are non-sports fans.
