Me and Polite24 never said we have anything against people making money off of video games. I/we just don't see how you can't wrap your head around the concept of athletes make more money because more people want to watch them.


On an unrelated note, I'd like to apologize to you for something if it's not too late. A while ago I called you a "fucking bastard" and told you to "get the fuck out of America" or something like that because of how you said you didn't care about Pat Tillman. I feel like I showed the wrong attitude by saying this. As an immigrant, you probably thought what I said was very offensive. It probably seemed to you like I have the xenophobic attitude towards immigrants that many Americans have which is part of the reason why America isn't exactly the most popular country around the world these days. I don't feel that way. Since you were born in Russia (I think that's where you said you were from), you're probably not going to feel as loyal to America as a lifelong citizen like me. I believe that all immigrants should be welcome in America as long as they follow the laws, pay taxes and everything else. Both of my sets of grandparents were immigrants. One came from Ireland and the other one came from Hungary. So I hope you didn't take what I said the wrong way.

I must admit that was a very sincere sounding apology, well done, I'm sure you meant it. My grandparents were also immigrants, from Poland and Italy. I say things to you that I really shouldn't some times, I never speak that way to people face to face. I guess the distance of e-mail makes it happen more often. You're a good person. Sergey, I can also relate to what you've just said. Over the years I've experienced grief over the loss of close loved ones. I know from experience that grieving people are particularly vulnerable to being deeply hurt by the thoughtless comments of others who ought to have enough sense to keep their mouths shut.

I really don't think is a realistic representation of a conversation. Pat Tillman's death got more coverage simply because he was an NFL player, and maybe moreso because when he first left the Arizona Cardinals to go to war it was a huge deal. You're out of your mind if you think people honestly believe his death was any more important than any others.

Celebrities make the news man. If Justin Timberlake or Chris Brown went to war and died their deaths would get more coverage than any soldiers because they're famous. It's really not hard, come on you guys are better than this.
