[quote="Sergey"]Sports require physical strength, nothing more.[/quote}
If what you said is true, every NFL team would be completely filled with offensive linemen. Is there no need to pass or catch the football, or have speed to get away from tacklers?

Hey Sergey:
Yes, video games do require some kind of skills. But sports require much more hard work, dedication, and mental and physical pain than sitting on your ass pressing buttons, which is your activity of choice. Think of what someone like Michael Jordan, Lebron James, or Michael Phelps had to do to get to where they are.

I don't care what they did, no it doesn't, it's more of an ego than skill. But yeah pressing buttons ftw. So I should just pounce or smoke the first guy I see in L4D? Drakedog got to where he's at and he didn't have the best tools.

Even sports that are primarily strength contests, such as weight lifting, shot put, and discus, require a good technique to be successful at them.
ALL SPORTS REQUIRE MORE EFFORT THAN ALL VIDEO GAMES

Oh I disagree. Real Time Strategy games take more skill than sports.

Hey, pissing into a cup at 15 feet requires skill and technique too but who cares, it's all pointless.

It makes me laugh when you guys say sports are pointless. In the big picture, does it really matter who wins a football game? No, not really. The point is they entertain people and people like watching and playing them. Sports usually cater to people who are very competitive, like me.
And no video game takes more skill than playing in a professional sport.

So being competetive makes you a better person? I find competetive people to be pains in the ass arrogant assholes. Also, just because more attention is paid to the skills of pro sports players does not mean it takes more skill than video games or any number of activities. Physical skill is not the same as mental skill. What takes more skill, kicking a field goal or designing a radar system? A baboon can kick a ball. Man, you are thick.

Yeah Video Games are much harder than any sport. Like Team Fortress 2.

Yeah, anyone can kick a ball, but not at a high level like the NFL. People who design radar systems can't kick field goals, and people who kick field goals can't design radar systems. Are radar systems of more importance? Yeah, but I don't think either of us know how difficult both of those things are to do at a very high level.

Polite24,
As always you miss the point. Just because something is difficult to do does not mean it is important. The world does not NEED field goals! If the the NFL suddenly disappeared (dream), the world would go on virtually unchanged, if engineers disappeared the world would be vastly changed and so would all of us in it. NFL monkey boys contribute nothing of lasting importance, if anything they hold us back by glorifying mindlessness and stupidity, a trait which you seem to admire. Look drone, brains rule jocks drool. Jocks should be paying for the air that they breathe and the room they take up and for the damage they have done to decent people. You are getting thicker by the day, you deserve none of the benefits smart people have provided you, go suck a jock strap.

Could have swore I just said radar systems are more important than field goals.
And to you, NFL players contribute absolutely nothing. However, even all the charity work aside(which they do a lot of), they contribute a lot of great memories for football fans and can make people happy.
