The answer is, you have none to give.

I've already stated why you use that number as a statistic and it has nothing to do with the fact that you're correct, it has more to do with the subject of self amusement.
I never said that because I have no idea. Everytime I've said 99 percent, I knew what I was talking about with that educated guess and I will stand by that.

Wrong, 99% is way off base, unless you are stating that 99% of sports jocks are idiots, then you are wrong! Besides video games are better for you, I have several Steam friends, that I know IRL and from video games, sports are inferior to social skills.
Keep telling yourself that

You have no logic! And no, only 99% Gamers are calm, mature people. Not your fanbase, plus video games mutilate sports in popularity in some degree.

Isn't one of the most popular video games a sports game? Madden?

^ There are way more popular titles than that. It may be one of the most popular sports games but not one of the most popular games overall.

I do have some more intriguing information on the benefits of action games such as Call of Duty 4 and such - which happen to be popular games. Here's the article:
http://www.livescience.com/health/09032 ... ommentForm

And if you think about it, you need good vision to play sports. But most forms of optical "repair" totally alter the optics of the eye and are quite costly. This type of "vision" training is a cheap, non-self destructive form of training the brain's visual cortex.

Let's put up a situation where this is involved...

There are two people driving on a rural road at night that has a thin fog hovering over it. Let's say the person in the left lane is an anti-video game person and the other a Halo 3 fanatic. The chance of the video game player of seeing the other driver is, on an overall average, 58% greater than the anti-video game person. [Note I didn't use that damned 99% statistic Detroitboar would ever so love to marry.] That could mean seeing them and avoiding them or a fender bender ocurring... along with some injuries.

Yes, being healthy and active is important, but not so important as to idolise it to the point of making people miserable when they do something as simple as walking on their treadmill or strolling through the park by barking out such deplorable words as "what a fag! Go play football!" or "Fat ass needs a life and needs to ...[so on and so forth]". And its not like that sports is the thing that can fix everything when it tends to do more damage in great exaggeration. As Sergey said, exaggerated forms of the excersize we call sports is much more dangerous than playing video games, yet people seem to think it's the only vital form of excersize. Dancing is fun, but that's great excersize. And what about playing catch with a friend or fetch with a dog? Maybe even invite some buddies over and run around like hooligans in the backyard? There are many more examples of excersize that can be beneficial yet also efficient and fun without being skull-cracking dangrous. I think I'd rather do those things than get my brain punched around so much that I'd be put into a damn comatose state for 10 years or become disabled due to the fact some 300 lb idiot ran into be at full speed. Sports equipment can't prevent all injury from happening.

Since I'm a middle-aged fogy, I know nothing about video games (which I have no problem with, of course); but I agree completely with what you say in your last unindented paragraph. A friend of mine who played football at the university he attended suffered damage to his spinal column before he stopped playing football. Years later he had to undergo extensive surgery. He later told me that not many days before he went under the knife, the pain had gotten to be so bad that he ended up calling another friend and cried like a baby over the phone. :(

I just have to say, when ever a football team loses the biggest game of the season, the sports fans go nutso and they go out into the streets, breaking store windows, setting fires, and overturning cars.

They also do that when their favorite team wins!

On the other hand, video gamers don't wreck holy havoc when they lose in a competition agains another player.

Sports inspires more violence than video games.

I've seen them act just as stupid when a football team wins as well. To mind comes the horn honking and drunken retarded dangerous driving after the Dallas Cowboys won the Stupid Bowl in 1993, then the intolerable rioting downtown when they got their 'welcome home' party in Dallas following the Stupid Bowl.

I believe they won the Stupid Bowl again the following year. They put additional security downtown that year, but again, it's a sad commentary on sports when security has to be imposed on the fans to keep them from acting like retards while sober and in broad daylight.

Polite24, you're clueless, I'd NEVER go outside with all this crime, I'd stay inside, where going up the stairs is enough exercise and video games are the best. YA GIT, I DA BOSS, QUESTIONS? GOOD!
