And trolls can't be honest? You've came here and said that you have no problem with bullying. There have been athletes on this site who were not labeled by everyone as a troll. That's because we don't dislike sports because of what they are, we dislike them because of what they cause. Sports have always resulted in problems such as bullying. Those athletic members didn't promote these problems.Nick wrote: I'm not coming here to troll you. I've been perfectly civil and honest this whole time.

...I didn't say I had no problem with bullying, but verbal bullying is hardly bullying at all. I've been verbally bullied, for instance when I moved to a new school system in fourth grade. Didn't really sting that much. Sorry, but I probably don't understand what you're going through because it's highly unlikely.HugeFanOfBadReligion wrote:And trolls can't be honest? Verbal bullying has a wide variety of problematic results. Verbal bullying causes isolation, which causes problems with a person's social skills. With heavy verbal bullying, severe psychological issues often occur. I'm done replying to you. I advise everyone else should to. If we don't feed the troll, we'll starve it to death, and it won't be a problem anymore. I was about to continue with metaphors of starvation and trolls, but that would cause further troll problems such as quote-mining.Nick wrote:I didn't say I had no problem with bullying, but verbal bullying is hardly bullying at all. Re: So, uhhh...
From what I see, the musical and arty bullies are not as violent or as boorish as the sports bullies. The rate of violent assaults is predominantly higher amongst jocks and sports thugs than the more artistically-orientated bullies. Why? Because the musicians and artists tend to be just snobs who regard themselves as more intelligent and talented than the victim. What they do is express heavy criticism on the work or achievements of others. That is as far as their "bullying" tends to go. I myself don't recall being physically assaulted by any devoted musicians or artists in my school. They may have laughed at me a few times and been sarcastic towards me but it was ALWAYS and ONLY the sports thugs who violently attacked me. They would attack me whenever I had to cross paths with them, mainly in PE lessons where supervision was poor but also around the school, in the toilets and even off the school grounds if I didn't walk home quick enough. Why was it the sports fans who violently attacked me and not the musicians or artists? Because the sports bullies were stupid and had no other use than throwing or catching a ball and slamming into each other. The musicians and the artists and the other intellectuals had the ability to attain higher standards than me in the classes and that is how they regarded themselves as "superior". The sports thugs couldn't make any real achievements in academia and their only way of bringing me down was to do it by means of physical abuse outside of lessons (except of course, for PE) because their brainpower would not allow them to humiliate me intellectually. Violence is always the moron's way of solving things.Nick wrote:I know for a fact that the smart kids at my school are dicks for being smart, and the artsy kids are dicks for being good at art, and the musicians are dicks for being musicians. Not all of them are, but SOME ARE. Yes, some are. That is true.
(See, there are assholes in every group, sounds like you're pointing out the ones in sports simply to use as a weak attack.)
My point - it is the sports bullies who tend to be more violent and thuggish than slightly mean-spirited artists, musicians or intellectuals. All three groups have their nasty people, yes, but generally, violence is more the way of the hardened, unintellectual jock than the cultured yet aloof musician or artist. That is all.

Of course, you gotta acknowledge that sports players are more athletic and healthy, so they have more confidence that they could win in a fight than the scrawny computer geek who may or may not be a complete asshole.i_like_1981 wrote:My point - it is the sports bullies who tend to be more violent and thuggish than slightly mean-spirited artists, musicians or intellectuals. Right then, let's get the unimportant thing out of the way first. In response to the last part of your post - on Jackass Number Two, Steve-O actually managed to take in a bottle of beer through his anus. The stunt was called the "Butt Chug" but I can't find any videos for it on YouTube. Go and search for it or buy the DVD. (Steve-O actually had to expel the beer instantly afterwards, with the help of a plunger!) So it IS possible.Nick wrote:Dude, I'm 14 and you're calling me a prick. You're verbally bullying me.
Aaaaanyways, I don't like sports. Why would I watch them?
Also, I don't think it's physically possible to pour beer up one's ass. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.
For a 14 year old, you do sound very intelligent. I have trouble in believing that but I guess there are some kids out there who do believe in using good grammar and spelling on the internet. But if you're not interested in sports and don't wish to defend them, then why are you so keen to nitpick at all our comments on here? I don't mind the odd bit of constructive criticism but I really don't know what exactly your purpose is on here if you're not going to take one side or the other. You're either with us or against us. It doesn't matter if you're against us, if you can be respectful and civil towards us. You do seem to be civil, but I can't establish your exact position or standing on the sports debate. Would you class yourself more as a "fan" or a "disliker" of sports? It would help to know what exactly your thoughts are otherwise I wouldn't be able to trust you. It is better when people are honest instead of evasive.
And I do believe that anyone who came here from 4chan or Encyclopedia Dramatica is on the side of the spammers, as it is through their actions how you came to find out about this website and you could well be one of them. Who exactly are you with?

Yes, I'm smart. Thanks. I'm not interested in sports, but I disagree that all people who like them are stupid. Many of my friends love sports. Also, Encyclopedia Dramatica and 4chan are hilarious, so I don't think it's hard to have discovered your website through the help of them. Also, Fat Man's attempts at trolling are way better than anything 4chan could do, because when you're on the side of the 'trolled' it's hilarious to read what he says. I love that about this website.

Re: So, uhhh...
Some may find watching this anger absolutely hilarious and it is the sort of response the 4channers are after. In fact, it is the EXACT response they're after. But all this does only encourage us lot to keep on negatively stereotyping sports and sports fans. I have to admit, it was funny watching the 4channers get mad at me for acting like a "prime internet tough guy" who was "in need of a rape" - they got me mad and I got them mad. That kind of balanced things out a bit. But I understand that there are others who got it worse than I did and have not been able to see the funny side of all this. Anyone who is the brunt of a joke has absolutely no reason to laugh as well. Don't expect everyone to react the same to all this "god-tier trolling". I can't say I find much of the 4channers' behaviour "funny". They laugh at dead people (http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/So_cash or http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Jade_Goody) and actually drive some to kill themselves. I hardly call that a joke at all.Nick wrote:Also, Fat Man's attempts at trolling are way better than anything 4chan could do, because when you're on the side of the 'trolled' it's hilarious to read what he says. Re: So, uhhh...
I made sure to check that one out. At first, I though the whole "an hero" deal was the typical sports-fan inability to use correct grammar and spelling (like how they're always using "your" when it should be "you're", but loads of people do that - myself not included) but when it appears this many times in one paragraph, either that person must really not understand the concept of "always "a" before a word beginning with a consonant" or there is some sort of hidden meaning...Nick wrote:Check out An Hero.
I always considered making fun of the dead to be exceptionally low and disturbing, particularly when that person was driven to an early grave, or was taken away by a terminal illness that wore them down to nothing. Jade Goody was born on the exact same day as I was and has now been dead over a year. She wasn't the nicest person on Earth and perhaps didn't deserve such immense coverage (as anyone living here in Britain would remember) but she was a mother, daughter, wife and a young woman and was loved by quite a lot of people. Whatever she did she did not deserve to die like that.Hank wrote:What these kids need is someone real to look up. And just browsing this forum the past few days, it's made my hatred for sports even greater and realize that athletes can never be role models. Fat Man should be an hero. Through all the trials and tribulations, he's still there standing huge in the face of adversity. He's experienced so much hurt, but is still here instead of just giving into the charades. I'm not saying that you have to go through THAT rough of a time to be an hero, hell, having a jock steal your iPod or whatever could call for standing up and becoming an hero for others. This world needs to realize it would be a better place if they could rely on people like Fat Man to be an hero
Cool story, bro. I'm not a fan of trips either. Either way, I still think you should be an hero.
