Re: Man Arrested for Punching Son at Youth Basketball Game
Don't the sportstards blather on and on to us about the bonding qualities of youth sports?

Re: America's stadium-mob mentality
The way I see it, we get judged by so many other things in today's society already, that we don't need to be judged by a damned team preference or sports jersey as well. That is also why I never became a fan of sports. In today's world, even being slightly interested in a sport or team can be a very...

Re: Sports Clothing etc.
It's for reasons like the ones mentioned in this topic that I tend to go about in plain, non-logoed/designed (albeit nice-looking) clothes. Even if I manage to look a little plain, at least it lessens the chances of being prematurely judged just by my clothing.

Slow as in not a lot of activity. Sometimes I have to wait a few weeks, then check back in to see if many fresh topics have been made in that time.

Re: Goon Supporting Bullying on Able2Know Thread!
I'd like to know how even the most primitive of minds can view bullying as "critical" or "positive" to society. You want a real "rite of passage"? Try getting an education and being able to at least spell your own name or add basic numbers without a calculator, you damn...

Re: what we oppose about the sports culture
I don't really have any antagonism towards athleticism, per se. In fact, a personal philosophy of mine is constant self-perfection - which includes trying to keep my body as physically fit as possible. I involve myself in karate, kickboxing, and weight lifting to keep myself in shape. However, when...

Re: Everybody rooting for the same damn team
Ever notice that certain sports have that one team that most EVERYBODY roots for? Doesn't that kind of defeat the appeal of a competitive event, when no one supports the other side? For example, you have all these morons shouting about how they love the Lakers in basketball, or maybe the Raiders in...

Re: SO THIS IS WHAT FAT LOOKS LIKE???
Apparently according to the media, anyone who is not as thin and disgusting as Paris Hilton or Christina Flockhart is "fat". I personally could do without all those pencil-thin Hollywood bimbos. Give me a woman with some meat on her bones. And yes - that includes some on her waist and butt...

Re: THE MOVIE - "IDIOCRACY" - 500 YEARS IN THE FUTURE!
I love that movie.
You just know that the reason it didn't get more coverage was because certain people didn't like the movie's message.
About the only inaccuracy is that society is starting to resemble the one in Idiocracy NOW - not years into the future. Quite sad.

I see registration is open again on this site. And I also have seen that the 4channers are aware of this. Snesgamer, if you are genuinely a sports hater, and not a spammer sent from that site to gain our trust in the hope of perhaps getting some personal information off of us, then I welcome you to...

Re: Don't really hate sports
Always been a fan of the ancient Greek ideal of sports. You know, the one where physical activity and a healthy body are supposed to be supplements to one's mental development, not a replacement? Not a standard one sees to often these days.

Re: New father chooses FA Cup over his baby's birth
Just imagine if he hadn't made it in time for the birth. Imagine him having to answer his daughter when she asked him about how he waited for her in the delivery room. Somehow I don't think "Um... waiting in line for some NFL tickets?" would quite cut it.

NFL = National Felons League. Should be the official acronym.
